A Letter from the PresidentUpdatedFriday February 26, 2021 byAlex Botsford.
Hello San Tan Valley Families,
My name is Alex Botsford, I have assumed the roll of President for San Tan Little League.
With my dedication and hopefully the help of other volunteers, it is my plan to reignite STVLL. Due to the pandemic the 2020 season was cancelled, during the adversity that the pandemic the league lost the remaining volunteers who did everything they could to maintain the league throughout the pandemic.
With the beginning of the new year, and with my family having boys who were finally coming of age to play Little League I set out to gather information regarding our local league. Needless to say, I was beside myself to discover that San Tan Valley was not going to carry a charter for the 2021 Season due to the lack of volunteers. This is when I set the determination to re-establish San Tan Valley Little League.
With your help we will not only rebuild our Little League Program but also build our community around the league.
A little about my background, I have coached, managed, and been a board member for Little League for over 20 years in WA, OR and CA. I am a father of 5 boys and a daughter, 3 of my boys and my daughter have all grown and grew within the Little League system. My 2 youngest boys are just now becoming of age to start League. In addition to Baseball/Softball, I also have coached football from 5 year old flag leagues through High School Football. My family and I relocated to Arizona 3 years ago, and I have been ecstatic waiting for this day when I was able to get involved in our community and youth sports.
With us getting such a late start this spring, it is my goal to recruit a full board of directors and hopefully enough younger children to organize a couple T Ball and Coach Pitch Teams. I realize that at this point, any of the older kids wanting to play within the Minor/Major Divisions have already signed up with the neighboring Leagues and it is just too late. Come Fall Ball Season, it is my plan to establish the older divisions.
How can you help?
1. If you have a child that is between the ages of 4 - 8 and T Ball or Coach pitch is the right Division for you please go to mystvll.org and get them registered, registration opens 2/27/21.
2. Spread the word, please let your friends and neighbors know that STVLL is back up and running.

Playing Little League as a child, coaching Little League and being apart of the board and giving back to the community have been some of the most memorable moments of my life. We all owe our children the same experience. Please join me on this journey to put STVLL on the map.
